Take on the Camel Trail this spring

Our green spaces are finally becoming...well, green again...and those beautiful quaint little flowers are beginning to appear in hedgerows, fields and gardens.

So what could be better than to get outside and truly feel the benefits of spending time in nature?Luckily for us here in Wadebridge,we have the Camel Trail right on our doorstep, presenting the perfect opportunity to get outdoors with your family or friends, enjoy a little light exercise (unless you fancy tackling the whole 18 miles of the Trail) and explore our beautiful local area.

Hire a bike

Here in Wadebridge, we are lucky enough to have lots of cycle hire businesses that have excellent access to the Camel Trail, so whether you’ve always wanted to ride the Trail, or have enjoyed doing so for many years, make sure you support one of the local hire shops to send you on your way!

Take in views of the Camel Estuary

The route from Wadebridge to Padstow was once part of a railway line, so imagine the views passengers would have had of the natural landscape of the Camel Estuary, before reaching the charming coastal scenes of the Padstow area. Offering a contrast to the beauty of the coast, the Camel Estuary is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which means you may spot some weird and wonderful wildlife on your way!

Coastal fun at Padstow

Being by the sea is always a great experience. Whether you fancy stopping off for a hearty lunch and a pint to refuel after a long cycle or walk, or would rather grab some fish and chips and head off to the beach to let the children explore before heading home, there will be plenty to do once you catch that first glimpse of the wonderful town of Padstow.
